The Vehicles: Our Coaches For your transit to the Barron Gorge, we operate a fleet of modern, air-conditioned coaches and mini-buses. These vehicles are equipped with ample storage for your dry bags and changes of clothes. Our drivers are also trained in the specifics of the region, providing a bit of local commentary as you transition from the coastal plains into the foothills of the Macalister Range. The short 20-minute drive ensures that you spend less time on the road and more time on the river.

What is included in the Barron River half day rafting tour?

Really enjoyable experience with a good mix of thrills and relaxation. The rainforest setting along the river is beautiful, and the guides clearly know their stuff. I did wish there were a few more bigger rapids, but I understand it’s more of a beginner-friendly run. Still, a great way to spend an afternoon and try rafting for the first time.
